The Child Development Support Center offers consultation and support services for persons in special needs and their families. The center work with a wide array of authorities, this is to say, public health workers, healthcare workers, educators, labor organization workers, and so on. Anyone who looks after persons with developmental disabilities or provides services to those persons and their families can have access to this center.

・Concerns regarding child development, family, daycare, school, and the like.

・Speech development, articulation of speech sounds, etc. (0 year old to school age)

・Developmental Disabilities (0 year old to adult age)

If needed, a development assessment test can be conducted.

A request for a child development consultation service for children under 4 years can be made with the Hikone Health Promotion Division at 0749-24-0816.

Monday to Friday (Closed on holidays and during new year) 8:30 AM - 5:15 PM

To have a consultation with an expert at the center, an appointment has to be made beforehand. All personal information is kept in strict confidentiality, and each consultation is offered free of charge.

This class provides support for children with developmental disabilities and their families.

◆ Suomi

This class offers activities in which children with developmental disabilities and their families can engage together in the hope of helping them form healthy relationships.

◆ Mebae

 This class helps families with children with developmental disabilities to receive welfare programs provided under the Child Welfare Act.
