Long-Term Care Insurance

更新日:2021年10月01日

Long-term care insurance is a mandatory program for people aged 40 and older.

The long-term care insurance system provides benefits to people when they need to access long-term care services.

This system is divided into two different types depending on the age group.

◆Persons aged 65 and over can access benefits.

◆Persons aged between 40 and 65 need to be recognized by a municipal office for the use of this system.

(Intractable and rare diseases related to aging, etc.)

When people turn 40 years old, it is compulsory for them to enroll in the long-term care insurance system.

To access benefits the system offers when the need arises, make sure to pay your insurance premiums on time.
