Lump-sum Withdrawal Payments(Japan Pension)

For the foreigners who have paid for the Japan Pension payments for more than six months, there is a chance to get back part of your Japan Pension contribution payments. Please take the following steps to apply for the lump-sum withdrawal payments (Dattai Ichiji-Kin).

Before leaving Japan.

  Get an application form for the lump-sum withdrawal payments from the Hikone pension office or the Hikone Insurance & Pension Division.

After leaving Japan.

  To apply for the lump-sum withdrawal payments and get the money back, you are required to mail the following documents to the Japan Pension Office from your home country.

1. Pension Book
2. A Copy of Your Passport (with the page showing the date you left Japan, Name, Birth Date, Nationality, Signature and Visa Status)
3. Official Documents that include your bank account information such as a bank name, branch office name, address, account number and account holder’s name (must be your name).
