Lump-sum Withdrawal Payments(Japan Pension)
For the foreigners who have paid for the Japan Pension payments for more than six months, there is a chance to get back part of your Japan Pension contribution payments. Please take the following steps to apply for the lump-sum withdrawal payments (Dattai Ichiji-Kin).
Before leaving Japan.
Get an application form for the lump-sum withdrawal payments from the Hikone pension office or the Hikone Insurance & Pension Division.
After leaving Japan.
To apply for the lump-sum withdrawal payments and get the money back, you are required to mail the following documents to the Japan Pension Office from your home country.
Required Documents
- Pension Book
- A Copy of Your Passport (with the page showing the date you left Japan, Name, Birth Date, Nationality, Signature and Visa Status)
- Official Documents that include your bank account information such as a bank name, branch office name, address, account number and account holder’s name (must be your name).
