Residents’ Association

      In Hikone, there are associations founded by residents living in each local district.

This so-called residents’ association helps their local residents to cooperate and interact with one another.

Once you join a residents’ association in your neighbourhood, you will be able to know other residents

    living in the same area. The associations usually organize cleaning activities and other local events and also keep their neighbourhood safe. 

You need to pay for a membership fee, which will be allocated to the purchases of necessary things, repairs of communal areas, events and other things for your local district.
