About One-Time Benefit for Families with Children(子育て応援手当)

This one-time cash handout program provides 20,000 yen per child born between April 2, 2007 and March 31, 2026 in response to recent inflation.  As your household is eligible for this program, Hikone City is set to provide the following cash handout amount on the specified date.

1.

・Eligibility Criteria (Parents/Legal Guardians)

Those who are a recipient of Jido Teate, as known as Child Allowance Benefits in English, and received the Jido Teate payment for September (if your child was born in September, the payment for October)

・How to Receive the Payment  

The cash handout payment will be automatically deposited into your registered bank account if you meet Eligibility Criterion No.1 shown above.

 *If you wish to decline the cash handout payment or use a different bank account, please call the call center.

・Cash Handout Distribution Schedules

April 16 (Thu), 2026 *give or take a few days

 *If you wish to use a different bank account, or if there are any errors when depositing the money, the above date (April 16) will be delayed.

・Eligibility Criteria (Parents/Legal Guardians)

Those who have completed the Jido Teate procedures and have been formally approved by Hikone City from October 1, 2025 to March 31, 2026.

・How to Receive the Payment  

You will receive a notice, an application form, and other documents related to this cash handout program from March 19 onward. Be sure to complete all required documents and submit them with any necessary supporting materials.

Proof of a Bank Account  

(e.g., a photocopy of your bankbook, bank card, an account information page from your online banking website or the mobile app.)

・Cash Handout Distribution Schedules

From May 1 (Fri)  onward

 *If there are any missing information or mistakes in your application form or lack of required documents, the distribution date will be delayed.     

*Distribution schedules after May 1 (Fri) will be posted on Hikone City’s official website

・Due Date

May 31, 2026, Sunday  *Applications must be received by this date.

 *If you fail to submit your application or to make the required corrections by the due date, you will be considered

     to have automatically withdrawn from eligibility for the cash handout.

・Eligibility Criteria (Parents/Legal Guardians)

Those who have filed for divorce, including a pending case, and have updated their family status for Jido Teate with Hikone City from October 1, 2025 to March 31, 2026.

*Caution: Those who are taking shelter as victims of domestic violence in Hikone City may be provided with cash handout payments. Please call the Hikone Call Center for Temporary Cash Handout Programs at your earliest convenience if this circumstance applies to you.

・How to Receive the Payment  

Please call the Hikone City Call Center for Temporary  Cash Handout Programs. If your family is eligible, an application form, etc. will be mailed to you at a later date.

・No notice confirming the completion of your cash handout payment under this program will be mailed.

    Details about this cash handout program are available on the official website of Hikone City.

    Please visit the website or check your bankbook regularly to confirm whether the payment has been

    deposited. If you receive the payment, the depositor name will appear as “ヒコネシキユウフキンシツ”.

・If there is any missing information or any errors in your application form, or if required documents are missing, the payment date will be delayed. Please ensure that there are no errors and that all required documents are included before submitting your application.
