The schedules of Hikone’s trash collection service differ depending on which school district you live in. A school district mentioned here means a local elementary school district. As there are 17 elementary schools in the city, Hikone is split into 17 different school districts.

If you are not sure which school district you are living in, please contact the Hikone Seisou Center or Hikone Foreign Residents Support Center. Once you tell your Hikone address, we can help you find out which school district you are living fairly easily.

Please contact either said center via phone, via email, or in person.

Note that the foreign-language version of Hikone’s trash collection calendar (Portuguese, English, Chinese, and Vietnamese) is available at the Seisou Center, Hikone City Hall, etc. You can also download it from the website of Hikone.
