The Livelihood Protection program is a system to guarantee the minimum standards of wholesome and cultured living for people who have lost income or are unable to work on account of their age or illness. There are many rules and conditions in the Livelihood Protection program. Should you need more clarifications, please ask the Hikone Social Welfare Division.

Please visit the Hikone Social Welfare Division if you have difficulty making ends meet due to no income, no work, no place to live, and the like. Under the Self-Reliance Support System for Needy Persons, those who have fallen into distress can receive support for self-reliance and job assistance.
